The Invest Myanmar Summit 2019 was the first of its kind, an unprecedented gathering of the country’s state and regional governments in one venue.
We worked closely with the organiser, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), to plan and execute an end-to-end event marketing strategy including branding, website creation and digital advertising to content creation and distribution before, during, and after the event.
As an inaugural conference, the Summit required a full branding suite including a logo and the production of brand collaterals from presentation decks to brochures to promote the Summit and drive registrations.
The Invest Myanmar Summit website was designed to be the chief news and registration platform for the event, providing readers with the latest information on the event and news and insights on investing in Myanmar, and also acted as a ticketing and payment gateway for the event.
To build awareness of the event and drive traffic to the event website and landing pages, we managed targeted global pay-per-click campaigns on Google Ads, Bing, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Salween Group produced a series of videos to showcase the significance of the Summit before the Summit, as well as post event highlights packages afterwords to highlight key takeaways for foreign investors.
A weekly EDM was sent out to interested business contacts to maintain event top-of-mind and drive registrations. The eDMs were written in three languages, Myanmar, English and Chinese, and featured both curated and original content which positioned the Summit as an expert on the investment climate and business environment in Myanmar.
We crafted a multi-platform social media presence to support the digital content we produced for the Summit on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The channels shared both curated and original articles on investment to kickstart conversations, generate buzz and build the Summit’s brand. The event's official Facebook page has turned into a trusted source for investor-related news.
We managed every aspect of international PR and media outreach, from overseeing media registration to monitoring coverage on the event. Creating media opportunities, organising press conferences, and writing timely press releases ensured the event would be widely covered by both local and international media.
